This cerebral signal jammer prop has an internal aluminum armature which allows it to be bent to the right size and compression to fit anyone’s head. The external soft rubber exterior is comfortable to wear and able to flex with the armature. One version with brain stem connectors and one version without (for the actor’s comfort).
Here’s a smaller sister crossbow to the full sized version, which was modified in similar ways – custom hand grip, rubber tipped bolts, bolt mount, and bow arms. Tight.
The original Stryker 350 Crossbow before customization.
A cleaner view of the crossbow. Notice the stock modifications, paint job, detail plant-ons, and laser scope.
This full sized crossbow started out as the real deal – a 350 fps hunting weapon that is definitely not a toy. We took it and made it safe to use in anyone’s hands while still looking like the real deal. We disassembled the compound bow arms and replaced them with custom built ones which allowed the bow to still be fired but at a fraction of the power. We also constructed rubber tipped bolts for added safety and made many aesthetic modifications to to give the prop a more futuristic look. From concept drawings to finishing details – a very from-the-ground-up job.
